Founded on September 21st, 2021, in Houston, Texas, Marixa Okafor desired to create an atmosphere where professional black women can openly excel to reach their highest potential without the fear of being infringed upon. With the focus of creating life-long bonds through sisterhood that extends well beyond professional growth, Black Women of Real Estate was organized to cultivate cohesion and collaboration amongst active African American Real Estate Professionals. Through consistent growth, Black Women of Real Estate strives to not only motivate and teach one another, but service underprivileged communities who have been deprived of education and knowledge needed to successfully maneuver through society.
Black Women of Real Estate believes that generational wealth is birthed through financial literacy, investments, and homeownership. With hundreds of thousands of African American women across the world, Black Women of Real Estate strives to continuously service various communities, making a difference one day at a time.
As an organization of well-trained and effective real estate professionals, education and comradery are pillars of our organization. We vow to share both professional and personal knowledge to help cultivate all our members. By offering regular membership meetings, seminars and workshops we hope to reinforce our members’ dedication to personal development and community.
